Suicide Silence Dallas Concert reviews
Amazing show, okay venue
The Deftones were just as incredible as you'd expect and still had the same grungy feel and energy as they've had in the past. Sitting in the lawn, we had a perfect view of the stage and screens, ensuring we didn't miss anything. Most concert goers were so young that the only song they knew was "Change", while the band played all of their best work from albums other than White Pony. Love you Chino! Of course, we all know The Woodlands is quite a drive from all the great things in Houston, but this show was definitely worth my two-hour drive. Suicide Silence was the highlight of everyone else's night without a doubt. They played all my favorites (except Stellar) and sounded just like they do in recordings. Their fan base, despite the long album hiatus, remains strong and 100% supportive. "Warning" was, in my opinion, the best song they played. The one thing I've noticed at the pavilion the past few times is that the sound isn't loud at all. If I can still hear the person next to me talking at their normal volume level, something's not right. I just wish the other concert goers were as into it as we were.
